Cornmaze
On Saturday, Oct. 20, the youth joined with the Adult I Sunday School class for a cornmaze. This year’s cornmaze had a Pirate Theme.
Those who attended the cornmaze were the Shriners, the Coombs, the Hayes, the Colliflowers, Steve and Becca Hull, Bill and Hilary Cooper, and Dustin Unger. Below is the picture of the group (minus the Coombs, who had to leave early, and minus the Colliflower parents who were working the camera).
There are some more pictures of the youth and the cornmaze on the Youth Photo Page.
Also, be sure to check out Larry’s blog about the cornmaze.

Mystery Dinner
As the girls stated, it should be the Messy Dinner (thank you Ashley).
The concept was simple. We had the fixings for a 3 course meal as follows:
Appetizer: cheese sticks, bread stick, and knife (since it did not really fit with the meal anywhere).
Main dish: Spaghetti, Meat Balls, fork, and napkin
Dessert: cookie, ice cream, and spoon
(BTW, isn’t that the order of the food Pastor B got?)
Each person got to pick 3 items for their Appetizer, 4 for the Main dish, and 3 for the Dessert. However, they did not know what they were picking since the names were substituted for Biblical items, such as the 10 commandments, ark of the covenant, noah’s ark, jonah’s whales, etc.
What resulted was youth eating spaghetti with their fingers, spoons, and bread sticks. Some ate meatballs without silverware. Others did seem to luck out in their choices. but the real kicker was what Madi ended up with for her last course. Check out the pictures on the youth page to see what she got!
Sumo Wrestling
What a way to continue the fun in youth group than with good old fashioned Sumo Wrestling.
We started with the girls one on one. Then the guys one on one. The winners from each went against each other, with Christian coming out the ultimate winner.
Then it was the adult’s turn.
This was followed by some free for alls.
Finally, Larry challenged his son to a dual. . . we won’t tell you who won.
Anyway, check out the pictures!
